Our Legacy

SAM electronics was founded

1903

SAM Electronics laid the foundation for NACOS with its pioneering bridge and automation systems. As a key innovator in integrated navigation technology, SAM developed the original NACOS platform that continues to shape the core of our solutions today.

Lyngso Marine Was founded

1952

Lyngsø Marine brought deep expertise in ship automation, known for its robust and scalable control systems. Its legacy lives on in the flexible, modular architecture of NACOS Marine’s automation portfolio.

Honeywell Dynamic Positioning was founded

1960

Originally part of Honeywell Marine Systems, this unit contributed proven dynamic positioning technology tailored for offshore and specialty vessels. Its legacy underpins the precision and reliability of NACOS Marine's DP systems today.

Valmarine was founded

1979

Valmarine specialized in advanced automation for cruise and passenger vessels. Its focus on redundancy, safety, and intuitive control interfaces remains central to NACOS Marine’s solutions for complex ship environments.

APSS was founded

1986

APSS brought Italian engineering excellence in propulsion and engine control. Now fully integrated into NACOS Marine, its technologies continue to support safe and efficient vessel operations across our automation platforms.
