NACOS Marine appoints John Weierud as Chief Technology & Product Officer
NACOS Marine has appointed John Weierud as Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO), effective 1 March 2026.
John joins NACOS Marine from Valmet AS Norway, where heserved as Managing Director and Director of Marine Automation, leading thecompany’s global marine business and contributing as a member of its global Automationmanagement team.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the internationalmaritime industry, spanning marine automation, integrated bridge systems,product development and global business strategy. He has held senior executivepositions at CAE Valmarine and L-3Communications Valmarine AS - now part of NACOS Marine’s heritage.
In his role as Chief Technology & Product Officer, Johnwill lead the company’s global technology and product organisation. He willdrive innovation across NACOS Marine’s navigation, automation and integratedsolutions portfolio, accelerate product roadmap execution, strengthen systemintegration capabilities and deliver greater customer value through smarter,safer and more connected solutions.
